Official assures stability of Pag-IBIG Fund

ROXAS CITY, Capiz -- "The Home Development Mutual Fund or Pag-IBIG Fund is a stable company, secured and far from bankruptcy," assured Pag-IBIG Fund area manager for Western Visayas Ronnie Abelo.

During the Fund Coordinator/Champions (FCC) general assembly in Capiz, December 11, which was also attended by the media here, Abelo said the company is well managed, the reason why it has received a number of corporate recognition.

Included in these recognitions are the unqualified opinion by the Commission on Audit for six years already and the ISO certification for its four program processes, among others.

On her part, Pag-IBIG Fund Capiz Branch head Dr. Juanita Artiola said that the branch here is a performing branch.

She said they are reaching out to the members in the ground.

“More Capiznon are now saving and increasing their contribution with Pag-IBIG Fund,” Artiola said.

She added that as of November this year, Capiz Branch has 29,295 active members.

Abelo, meanwhile, urged the media to help them in making the Capiz Branch to grow.

“Our aim next year is to have a branch in every province and in every city in the whole Philippines and we need to be visible in areas where we have members,” he said.

According to him, there are only 95 Pag-IBIG Fund branches throughout the country with only seven branches in Western Visayas. (LTP/JBG/PIA6-Capiz)
