'Dalagan Kontra Droga' gets community support

SAN JOSE, Antique June 28 (PIA) - - The drive against illegal drugs on Saturday, June 30, dubbed “Dalagan Kontra Droga” will be highlighted with a 1.8 kilometer-run and Zumba dance exercise. 

According to San Jose Municipal Police Station head PSupt. Mark Anthony Darroca, the activity which will start at 5:00 A.M. from the SJMPS, Trade Town to the Evelio B. Javier Freedom Park will be participated in by the various sectors of the community.

The activity, aside from promoting a healthy well-being, is in support to the recovery programs of drug surrenderers in the municipality.

Darroca said in a PIA interview that the San Jose Police will sustain the campaign against illegal drugs in the different sitios of the barangays in order to increase the awareness level of the people about the government’s anti-illegal drugs drive.

The community is also encouraged to report to him any abusive policemen.

According to the report of the San Jose Police Station, since the start of the campaign against illegal drugs there are about 404 drugs surrenderers recorded as of May 2018. (JBG/VWV/PIA Antique)
